Eye protection. The patient is asked to wear protective glasses to protect the eyes from laser radiation.
Anesthesia. A cream with a local anesthetic is applied to the area to be treated.
The main stage. The doctor directs the Q-switch laser beam at the tattoo. It penetrates deep into the skin, breaking the pigment into tiny particles.
End of session. The doctor applies an anti-inflammatory cream to the skin to reduce discomfort, swelling and redness. The patient is advised not to apply makeup to the skin for the first few days.
